Hand Luggage Flight Essentials

With two trips coming up very soon, I have been getting together the bits and pieces that I will need for my hand luggage. I've listed a few of my essentials and hope this can be of some use to you too!

1. Travel Cushion - It took me quite some time to believe that these were actually any good. It wasn't until I actually used one that a family member had and I realised how comfy it was! I used this on the plane for my holiday earlier this year and it was so comfy. I think I actually managed to pick this up for a couple of pounds so it's definitely an inexpensive item!

2. Nuxe Lip Balm - In my opinion one of the most hydrating and beneficial lip balms out there. I always carry a lip balm with me when flying as I tend to find that my skin and lips in particular tends to become quite dehydrated on a flight. This lip balm is super hydrating as I mentioned and definitely worth taking in your hand luggage. You can buy this balm here.

3. Sunglasses - Just in prep for your holiday of course - unless you're like me and use them to make it less obvious to everyone that you're crying when the plane takes off. Ha-ha!

4. Passport - Well, because I don't think you'd get very far without it!

5. The Body Shop Almond Hand and Nail Cream - Again like the lip balm I always take a hand cream for the flight to keep my hands nice and moisturised, plus, it smells incredible so its quite comforting for any of you fearful flyers! You can buy this hand cream here.

6. Phone/iPod & Headphones - I genuinely don't think I'd be able to go on a flight without listening to music! Always make sure you have a good range of music to last you through the flight.

7. Notebook & Pen - I always find this an essential when flying. I like to make notes, write any lists, play games if you get really bored, and personally flying is prime blog post planning time!

8. Tangle Teezer - I always have some form of comb/brush with me in my hand luggage. It just helps to tame that plane napping bed-head. You can pick up this colour Tangle Teezer here.

Enjoy & Happy Holidays!

Summer Lush Haul

With Summer now FINALLY making it's way into full swing, I decided it was time for one of my regular little Lush shops to pick up some of my favourites and also try out a couple of new ones. I picked up 6 bath bombs to try as these are the products that I tend to go through the quickest. I picked up intergalactic, yoga bomb, think pink, ickle baby bot, butterball and blackberry bomb.

1. Intergalactic Bath Bomb

The first bath bomb I picked up was intergalactic and this is without doubt one of those products that I will always pick up each time I visit Lush. It's potentially my favourite bath bomb that Lush stock. When dropped into the bath it turns the water a deep ocean blue colour with swirls of pink, yellow and purple throughout. The bath bomb is absolutely FULL of glitter. It definitely makes the bath look like an crystal blue ocean - seriously, it's to die for!

2. Yoga Bath Bomb

The second bath bomb I picked up was Yoga bomb. As you can see the inside of the bomb are tucked away colours which looks amazing when dropped into the bath. The Yoga bomb is made with olibanum oil which makes it incredibly relaxing and I find it's a really good muscle relaxant.

3. Think Pink Bath Bomb

Think Pink was a new bath bomb for me to try. I hadn't ever tried this one before until I read the Lush spring magazine and noticed that it was a Vanilla bath bomb, so I knew I would like it. Although very sweet in scent, its very moisturising and the little flowers are a super cute finish! The water turned a very Barbie pink colour, and inside were lots of little red heart confetti. Super cute!

4. Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb

Again, another recurring favourite from Lush, this is the Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb. I know a lot of people buy these for children because they're very gentle on the skin and contain Lavender Oil which definitely works as a natural sleep aid, and I'm talking from experience! It definitely leaves you feeling relaxed, sleepy and ready for bed - note, do not use this in the morning before work, ha!

5. Butterball Bath Bomb

Some of you may know about this bath bomb already as I alwaaaaays rave about it. Not only is this a very moisturising, silky bath bomb, but this for me personally is a great reliever for anxiety. If I ever feel anxious I have a bath with this bomb and I find it relieves the tight knotted pain in my chest. I cannot recommend this bath bomb enough. It's a life saver!

6. Blackberry Bath Bomb

And finally the last bath bomb I picked up was the Blackberry bomb. This again is one of my favourites and is the nicest smelling bath bomb I use from Lush. The water turns like a cloudy grey/blue colour but has no inner colour or detail. This bath bomb is so big that it means if you crack them you can get a good 4-5 baths out of this.

Be sure to let me know if you have any must-have Lush items for me to pick up next time!

Lots of love,

So... I got writer's block...

Well...

So, apparently, I disappeared off the face of the earth with my blog.

I feel like everyone who writes a blog goes through this at some stage. I felt a bit like I didn't know what to write, I didn't know if anyone was bothered about reading my content. I genuinely felt a little bit lost. I literally tried SO many times to write a new post and I was like, "nope, not happening!"

I don't know why we are here today, but we are, and I am second paragraph down and still typing so I think we're doing okay! Recently everything has been a little crazy. My anxiety has been quite bad, a lot has been going on in the world, and I didn't really know what to do. *insert confused little sad emoji face here*

Since my post way back when 4 months ago, not a lot has changed. I have two holidays booked and I'm going away this weekend for my Mum's birthday, so as you know, my travel anxiety is at an all time high, which as you know is JUST what we need!

The world is filled with so much sadness and hate right now, and I personally find it really hard to deal with. I want to take the time to mention in this post that my thoughts are always with the loving families of those who for whatever reason are no longer with their loved ones.

My night tonight is solely based on packing for our trip up north and planning out my posts for the next few weeks. I wanted to check back in to let you know that I am here, my posts are coming back, and I would really love to know what content you would like to see.

Thank you for reading, and let's take 2.

Love, Chelsea x
